SOCIAL AND ETHICAL ISSUES
-Privacy, Crime and Security: Customers and business have the right for their private information to be protected. Safeguards are essential for this system, to ensure that confidential details cannot be accessed by all employees. The main reason why it is essential to ensure data security is because ATMS and their system send and receive important information to one another. Hackers, who try and gain access to the system illegally, also, pose a threat to the business, as the system stores banking transaction details. Freud is another possible concern that needs to be taken into consideration. Hackers however are not a major threat because ATMS are constantly updated, ensuring it has the best possible security system.
- the changing nature of working- due to ATMS being used more frequently these days a number of different job descriptions have been lost bank clerks are loosing their jobs as they are not essential in the withdrawal of funds any more this is an issue as the less jobs there are the harder it becomes for families to make a living
- Skimming devices- A regular occurrence with ATMS these days is the creation of skimming devices meaning that criminals scan the magnetic strip and record the pin number entered on the key pad meaning that they are able to access the funds and account of that person leading the theft of money and identity.

- unauthorised analysis of data if someone was to hack or watch a person using the sytem enter their personal pin code thid id a form of unauthorised analysis if a bank competitor was also to use the persons account details or personal infomration to send them letters or other sorts of spam this is another form of unauthorised analysis using their personal details which should be kept private
FUTURE DIRECTION
The future directions of ATMS will see the elimination of all banks it will allow customers to both withdraw and deposit money into and out of their account this would mean that physically going into a bank would be eradicated leading to even greater job loss but being extremely efficient for consumers ass they will be able to access their accounts at any time of the day new technologies that are emerging are seeing ATMS being used even less now with internet banking being even easier and more convenient it allows the customer to transfer funds to their card when necessary meaning that they do not even need an ATM this is beneficial as it means that they will not be carrying around a large amount of cash on them which means if a theft was to occur they can just deactivate their card and still have all their money in the account untouched by the thief. however going down this technological path means that greater security software would need to be implemented as although skimmers are a social and ethical issue hackers and viruses are somewhat even harder to trace and pin point the source.
